Yoo Jae Suk Receives Harsh Criticism for “Not Donating Enough Money” to Victims of the Sokcho Fire

“Are you kidding me? Is he out of money now that Infinity Challenge is over?”

Yoo Jae Suk recently donated 50 million won (~$45,000 USD) to the victims of the Sokcho fire through the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief.

But despite the generous donation that Yoo Jae Suk made along with many celebrities of Korea, the famous TV host is receiving both positive and negative responses.

In contrast to those commending Yoo Jae Suk for contributing to help the victims of the unfortunate event, some netizens are harshly criticizing Yoo Jae Suk for not donating enough.

Some of the malicious comments include, “You should’ve at least donated 200 million won (~$175,000 USD). Are you kidding me?” and, “I thought he’d at least donate 100 to 200 million won (~$85,000 – $175,000 USD). Is he out of money now that Infinity Challenge is over?

Just last month, Yoo Jae Suk also donated 50 million won (~$45,000 USD) to a foundation supporting single mothers, and within the span of the last 6 years, he has donated over 380 million won (~$350,000 USD).

That’s not all. Yoo Jae Suk has also been known to actively engage in donation activities for causes such as comfort women and victims of damage caused by excessive rainfall, which has been making many other netizens frown upon those who left such malicious comments about Yoo Jae Suk’s contribution.
