NCT’s Sungchan And Shotaro Only Found Out They Were Debuting In NCT At The Last Minute

This is how it’s going for them a year later!

The behind-the-scenes videos of NCT‘s 2021 album shoot gave fans a pretty good look at how the newer NCT members, Shotaro and Sungchan, are getting along with the other NCT members these days.

In them, Shotaro revealed that, surprisingly, he and Sungchan only met the other members of NCT on the day of their big group photoshoot last year.

But perhaps more interestingly, it seems like Shotaro and Sungchan didn’t even know they were debuting with NCT until the day before the photoshoot!

Both the fans and the members were really supportive of Shotaro and Sungchan from the beginning, but no doubt their debut must have been a very stressful time for them. It makes sense that they felt uncomfortable at the time as it is already stressful enough having to debut, let alone having to debut with a huge group who all already know each other. Additionally, they had almost no time to prepare.

Now that these details about Sungchan and Shotaro’s debut are being revealed, fans are really empathizing with what they had to go through, especially Shotaro, since he had to deal with a language barrier in addition to everything else.

But on the bright side, a year after their debut, both members seem to be fitting in really well. So much so, that they’ve even been ‘adopted’ by other members!

Fans have pointed out that even Johnny appears to have a soft spot for Shotaro…

…though Shotaro seems to be charming practically everyone!

It’s been really nice to see the progression of Sungchan and Shotaro’s friendship with the other members. They are truly making a place for themselves in NCT, and it is well-deserved. Similarly, it’s been encouraging to see their increase in confidence, and fans can only hope there will be plenty more opportunities to continue seeing it.
