The Korean-Singaporean started skating when she was six after she was inspired watching Kim Yuna win gold at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

In 2016, she broke Kim Yuna’s record by becoming the youngest person to win the national championships, achieving the milestone almost a year earlier than her idol.

She’s still too young to compete at the Olympics this year but was excited to serve as the first torchbearer for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
