As soon as his joke was perceived negatively by the majority of the people, Jaejoong immediately took down the post and shared an apology.

My April Fool’s joke was a little excessive, but many fans worried about me in a short period of time. I’ll accept any punishment I deserve for my post. I hope everyone is healthy.

In light of this recent controversy, various online communities have been revisiting Jaejoong’s past April Fool’s jokes.

Back in 2017, Jaejoong fainted on stage during an encore performance in Taiwan, shocking all the fans that were watching.

As soon as he collapsed, the concert was halted and the guards immediately appeared on stage to help him.

But just a moment later, the music started up again, and Jaejoong went back up on stage like normal.

And on April Fool’s day in 2014, Jaejoong posted a photo of himself kissing a little girl on the cheeks along with the caption, “I’m going to get married within 3 years.

This also shocked fans, but it was later revealed that this was a prank as well.

But following Jaejoong’s most recent prank of announcing that he had COVID-19, fans are responding coldly with comments such as “He might’ve been joking, but that really crossed the line” and “I think he needs to learn how to control his jokes better“.
