Dr. G‘s Brightening Peeling Gel promises smooth, beautiful, and radiant skin by completely peeling off layers.
A YouTube video of a young woman using Dr. G’s Brightening Peel Gel shows exactly how the product works. She claimed the product “balls up with dead skin cells and feels like your skin is shedding.” The active ingredient was revealed to be cellulose, a chemical exfoliant.
As it turns out, many people are already becoming fans of the unique exfoliating product. Many Buzzfeed staff members, YouTube producers, and Reddit users are crazy about Dr. G’s Brightening Peeling Gel. Women in Korea, who are known for their flawless complexions and extravagant skincare routines, have also taken an interest in the peeling gel.
Debra Jaliman, MD, a dermatologist based in New York, said this about the safety of the peeling gel.
“It’s safe to use. It has aloe, which is soothing for the skin, licorice for brightening, and glycerin, which is moisturizing. I’d recommend it for removing the dead skin cells from the face.”

Mona Gohara, MD, a dermatologist based in Danbury, Connecticut, agreed that the peeling gel would probably cause no harm and may be great for complexion and skin tone. However, she advised that those with rosacea, eczema, or acne to first consult with their doctors before use.
“Stay on the safe side and check in with someone who can guide you through your routine.”
