After Being Rescued From A Dog Meat Farm This Puppy Sees A Toy For The First Time

This adorable puppy was rescued from one of many dog meat farms in South Korea.

In early 2015, a number of small dogs were rescued by the Humane Society from a meat factory in South Korea. This video shows the new life of one of these survivors called Snowball. According to Humane Society International (HSI), these pups have never played with toys before and this clip records Snowball’s first time playing with a toy.

Although millions of dogs are traded on the meat market in Asia, the HSI indicates that only South Korea has such a farming industry that raises dogs purely for meat.

Lola Webber, HSI Asia campaign manager and CFAF director, said, “Some of these dogs were in a terrible state both physically and mentally. They’ve been starved of love their whole lives, living in fear and deprivation. As soon as we opened their cage doors and they realised we weren’t going to harm them, they wagged their tails and licked our faces. I felt very privileged to give these dogs the first ever cuddle and kiss of their lives.”
