According to Star Today, the decision to leave was made by Yoo Hee Yeol himself. Unfortunately, the decision comes amidst his plagiarism controversy. Although his agency, Antenna Music, has denied that the two are linked, the public has been critical of Yoo Hee Yeol recently.

One of the tracks from his recent “Daily Music Project” was found to be plagiarized from Japanese music director, Sakamoto Ryuichi. Yoo Hee Yeol himself admitted to it through social media on July 14, 2022, claiming that he agreed with the allegations after carefully checking the two songs.

As a musician that has been respected by the public for a long time, the scandal was detrimental to his image as an artist. In a statement to the media, Antenna Music stated that they would take more care to avoid such instances in the future.
