Yoo Ah In uploaded a video of a witch hunt to his Instagram, a move that some have read as support of the late Jo Min Ki.
Jo Min Ki died by suicide after admitting he was guilty of several accusations of sexual assault — one of the many results of the #MeToo movement gaining traction in South Korea.
His last letter describes the shame he felt after being called out by his victims.
Netizens say that Yoo Ah In’s latest post is backing the claims that are accusing the #MeToo movement of being a witch hunt.
- “Is he feeling bad for a criminal?”
- “The victims have revealed their faces, real names and yet he says it’s a witch hunt..”
- “This is different from a witch hunt. Does he not think of the pain the victims received? The trauma they received because of sexual assault will remain forever.”
- “Yoo Ah In said he was a true feminist. I think it’s crap. Yoo Ah In is a true troll.”
This isn’t the first time he’s been involved with a controversial issue. He’s was also in a Twitter war with Han Seo Hee over feminism.
