YG Entertainment has been well underway in finding their next boy group through their survival debut program, YG Treasure Box. In the show, 29 male trainees from Korea and Japan compete against each other for a chance to debut in a possible 5-member boy group.
News reports claim that YG Entertainment is already planning the second season, where they will debut the next girl group to follow after BLACKPINK. The program rules will run identically as the first season. It will also stay true to the broadcasting platform, where it will only be broadcast through internet streaming services, like YouTube, V Live, Naver TV and more.
An inside source revealed that they are hoping to launch the second season sometime in January or February of 2019, right after the first season ends. This will be YG’s first girl group since BLACKPINK, who debuted back in 2016.
Despite rumored reports, nothing has yet been confirmed by a direct representative of YG Entertainment.
