Woollim Entertainment Confirms INFINITE Sunggyu’s Contract With The Agency Has Now Ended

The agency shared supportive words for Sunggyu in an official statement.

Woollim Entertainment has confirmed that INFINITE member Sunggyu‘s contract with the agency has come to an end as of March 6, 2021 KST.

In an official statement, Woollim Entertainment explained that after careful discussion with the artist, the two parties came to an agreement not to renew the contract. The agency thanked Sunggyu for the past 11 years he worked with Woollim Entertainment and wished him the best in his future endeavors.

First off, we sincerely thank the fans who cherish and love INFINITE. INFINITE member Sunggyu, who has been with us for the past 11 years, has ended his exclusive contract with us on March 6, 2021. Recently, ahead of contract expiration, we had a lengthy discussion about the contract with artist Sunggyu — and came to an agreement to not renew.

Sunggyu, as the leader of INFINITE since 2010, has been working harder than anyone else in various areas. We sincerely thank Sunggyu for being with us for that long period of time. We would like to thank the fans who have wholeheartedly supported Sunggyu’s music and activities and we sincerely support Sunggyu’s new start and future.

Regarding the future of INFINITE, Sunggyu previously assured his fans in a live broadcast that there is nothing to worry about — and that he looks forward to the fans’ support for the group.
