The BTS of 2013 never could have foreseen the BTS they would be in 2020. The future is ever-changing, and BTS’s journey is as unpredictable as it is unprecedented.
In a new interview with Vogue Japan, the members were asked to envision the kind of world they see themselves living in five years from now, in 2025. As always, their answers were sincere and humble.
“I’m happy if I grow older and keep becoming a nice person on the inside,” Jungkook answered.
Suga said, “Five years later? I can’t imagine, but maybe whole different world is coming!”
“The world is changing so fast, and even if it’s five years from now, it seems like it’s a long way off,” J-Hope added. “Who could have imagined 10 years ago that smartphones would be an integral part of the world? Let’s laugh.”
Jin said, “I think the world will be amazingly different. If I can still meet and spend the same time as I do now, I’ll have nothing more to hope for.”
“I can’t really imagine what kind of music I’m doing, what kind of place I’m in, and I’m worried about it in my head,” Jimin replied.
V hopes that BTS can keep continuing on with their fans. “I would be happy to show myself always challenging myself and grow older with ARMY just like I am now,” he said.
As for RM, he’s hoping that BTS will still be working together as they are now. Oh, and a GRAMMY award would be nice too!
Looking back five years ago, when BTS got a lot of attention and started to be active, at that time, I couldn’t predict what it would look like five years from now. It’s hard to imagine what it will be five years from now (laughs), but I’d be happy if I could continue to work together as it is. It’s a small hope, but that’s enough. And if I could win the Grammy Award I’m glad!
