Filipino TV Show and Cast Apologize To Super Junior and Fans After Backlash

Fans were furious that the show disrespected the group.

Home Sweetie Home, a television program in the Philippines, released an official apology after receiving backlash from Super Junior fans.

In an episode shot in Seoul, South Korea, the cast appeared to be discussing the latest trends when one of them asked if they wanted to see Super Junior. The reply that came from the scripted episode was: “They are outdated. BTS are the trendy ones now.”

The comment angered a lot of Super Junior’s fans as they called out the responsible production team and cast members online for unnecessarily comparing the two groups, as well as disrespecting a legendary group that’s been active for over 13 years.

Home Sweetie Home took to Facebook to officially apologize for their dialogue, and explained that they have “high respect” for Super Junior.
