MMA fighter Seo Jiyeon had previously been embroiled in a lawsuit and counter lawsuit with her former gym manager. It was reported in July that while she had accused him of committing sexual assault, thus filing a lawsuit against him, he countersued her for false charges.

However, it seems like a new piece of information has come up. On September 5, 2021, it was reported by TenAsia that the gym manager had also sued her for violating sexual assault acts including use of cameras. Allegedly, he had suspected her to have a photo containing his body in her phone, but upon asking for the phone, she had not agreed.

Based on this suspicion, in April 2021, the gym manager sued her for violating sexual assault acts as well. This means that there were a total of three lawsuits, one against the gym manager for sexual assault, and two against Seo Jiyeon – one for sexual assault and one for false charges. All lawsuits however, have concluded as “not guilty” as there was not enough evidence on both sides.

Seo Jiyeon has not released an official statement on the matter.
