They elaborated on the Georgetown Code of Student Conduct.

Roy Kim, who has been booked for distributing illegal sexually lewd content, has made it to the headlines on Georgetown University‘s school newspaper, The Hoya.

On April 11 (EDT), The Hoya published an article titled, “GU Student Implicated in Korean Sexual Misconduct Scandal Involving Multiple K-Pop Stars”.

The article laid out the facts regarding Roy Kim’s case and his involvement in Jung Joon Young‘s chatroom and indicated that while Roy Kim’s particular case is not outlined in the Georgetown Code of Student Conduct, it does recognize sexual harassment and cyberbullying as significant infractions.

The Georgetown Code of Student Conduct does not explicitly outline consequences for distributing lewd photographs. However, the code does recognize sexual harassment and cyberbullying as significant infractions.

Moreover, the location of the alleged crimes is irrelevant to the disciplinary processes of the school.

Although it is unknown whether Kim sent lewd photographs while at Georgetown, the location of the alleged crimes does not matter in university disciplinary processes as long as the student is affiliated with the university.

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Georgetown University will be conducting their own investigation on Roy Kim.
