I.O.I’s schedule for the next year packed with album releases

The girls of I.O.I won’t be getting another break anytime soon as their schedule has been revealed to be packed for their upcoming year together.

For their year of activities, I.O.I will be active and managed by YMC Entertainment. The 11-member girl group was chosen determined by votes as the Top 11 of the Mnet female trainee competition Produce 101. Following the final episode, the girls have been busy not only preparing for their official debut set for May 4th with their first mini-album, but they have been recruited as models for several companies as well as magazine pictorials.

That’s not all.

According to a scheduled plan for I.O.I concerning their activities for the next year, it is revealed that they will be releasing a total of 2 mini-album and 2 singles. Most likely, the mini-albums will be released as a team while the singles will be released as units. Currently, there are no plans for the members’ individual agencies to pursue solo activities.

Following initial reports, officials somewhat confirmed the news of the upcoming releases, however, said, “Other than 1 mini-album and 2 singles, nothing else is confirmed.”

With seemingly non-stop activities for I.O.I, there are high hopes for the group to snag a ‘Rookie of the Year’ award.

Meanwhile, the group has been confirmed to be making their first team televised appearance on JTBC‘s Sugarman to air on April 26th. They will drop their debut mini-album on May 4th with a fan meeting planned for May 5th.
