MLD Entertainment Releases Follow-Up Statement On MOMOLAND Nancy’s Illegal Filming Case

They update fans on the situation.

MOMOLAND‘s Nancy was the target of an illegal hidden camera by her own staff, during 2019’s Asia Artist Awards in Vietnam. Illegal footage of her changing was uploaded onto a K-Pop forum and was swiftly reported to the company.

MLD Entertainment then made a statement promising legal action and thanked the fans for helping protect their artists. On January 15, 2021, MLD Entertainment released a follow-up statement.

The agency will be taking strict punishment without settlement against not only the original perpetrator but also those that have spread the photos online.

We plan on taking strict punishment against the original perpretrator based on illegal filming and spreading the illegal content. Perpetrators who have spread the photos second-hand will also be dealt with, without settlement.

Hello, this is MLD Entertainment.

We are writing to inform you about the strong legal action that is currently being undertaken, with regards to the recent incident involving illegal editing and spread of photos of our agency artist Nancy, on social media.

We are currently working with the Kyunggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency Cyber Crime Department to investigate the issue. We plan on taking strict punishment against the original perpretrator based on illegal filming and spreading the illegal content. Perpetrators who have spread the photos second-hand will also be dealt with, without settlement.

We will cooperate with investigations in order to protect our agency’s artists and will continue to make efforts to monitor the situation should any more harm occur additionally.
