MMO Entertainment To Take Legal Action To Protect Kang Daniel and Yoon Jisung

Legal proceedings have begun.

Although Wanna One is a group of talented individuals, there were some people who took being an anti-fan to a new level. A few of the members were attacked online with malicious and unfounded remarks.

These remarks were so bad that, back in May 2017, fans were ready to stick up for the members. Kang Daniel and Yoon Jisung, in particular, suffered from personal attacks that bordered on sexual harassment.

At the time MMO Entertainment confirmed that they would be pressing charges against the netizens who were posting the venomous posts.

On September 15, 2017, MMO Entertainment reported that Kang Daniel and Yoon Jisung formally filed a complaint with the police and gave their testimonies.

“Kang Daniel and Yoon Jisung both filed their complaints. On August 31, they went to the Yongsan Police Station and gave their testimonies. From the time the comments were first made, we’ve steadily prepared to take action. And in the future, we guarantee we will be taking strong action.” — MMO Entertainment

Now MMO Entertainment looks like they are all set to carry out their threat and have posted a statement on their social media account.

“In 2017, we began to take legal action against hateful and false claims that were made against our artists. We have combined the evidence collected by fans, the prosecution, and our own legal team and have filed a lawsuit against those who spread the comments for violating the Information Communications Network Act.” — MMO Entertainment

The company is also looking for newer information that could help them file another lawsuit.

“Nevertheless, the persistent spread of false information has negatively affected our artists and their fans. We plan to file further lawsuits for the spread of false information, online sexual harassment, and personal attacks. We would like to request that fans help by sending in additional information regarding these matters.” — MMO Entertainment

MMO Entertainment finished up by making it clear that they will not be tolerating any more negative comments made about their artists.

“In the future, we will continue to take legal action in the case that false information and malicious posts continue to spread. We will do our best to protect the rights and interests of MMO Entertainment artists. We will also continue to keep you informed on our progress. Once again, we would like to sincerely thank you for caring for our artists.” — MMO Entertainment

Wannables can rest easy knowing that the boys’ agency is ready to keep them safe!
