Self-proclaimed Facebook star, Seol Suk Gi, was recently exposed for trying to make money off Jonghyun‘s death. But even after being exposed, he just insulted Jonghyun instead of apologizing.
Shortly after news of Jonghyun’s passing, Seol Suk Gi uploaded a video of himself dancing to SHINee’s “Replay.” Although his title was “Praying for Jonghyun”, he was criticized for joking around and not taking the sensitive situation seriously.
After fans criticized him for being insensitive and trying to make money off Jonghyun’s death, one Korean Facebook page called “Place Where Women’s Hearts Flutter” shared the video, causing it to go viral.
As more and more fans saw the video and sent threatening messages to him, Seol Suk Gi messaged the Facebook page demanding them to take down the video.
Seol Suk Gi: If it was just a few bad comments I wasn’t going to do anything but isn’t this too much? There aren’t many people on facebook that don’t know me and people are saying they’re going to tear out my tongue and going crazy contacting me. If you don’t take the post down I’m going to sue you for defamation.
Page Admin: Huh? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ this is the first time I’m getting directly contacted by someone. Go ahead sue me you son of a bitch ㅋㅋㅋ I’ll come tear out your tongue myself. How thick skinned can you be, your tongue’s not the problem right now, your life is ㅋㅋㅋㅋ. You know who I am (famous line from a popular Korean movie) please come to your senses and go away with your legal papers before I tear your tongue out.
The conversation continues as Seol Suk Gi starts laughing at Jonghyun’s death. He admits that he only wanted to make money and that he’s going to sue the Facebook Page for posting their conversation online.
Page Admin: The SHINee fanclub is going to beat you to death!!
Seol Suk Gi: He didn’t die because I told him to. I only care about making money with that video ㅋㅋㅋㅋ. I’ll just become a trending topic and I’ll make money off that ^^. Go ahead post this in the comments as well I’ll sue you and make money off that too ㅋㅋㅋ you attention whore.
After the exchange, “Place Where Women’s Hearts Flutter” has not taken down the video, which has accumulated over 1 million views in less than one week.
