Kang Daniel Reportedly Set To Make Acting Debut In Upcoming Disney+ Police Drama

Actor Kang Daniel is coming.

Kang Daniel is reportedly set to make his acting debut in Disney+‘s new police drama Our Police Class.

According to an exclusive report from Ilgan Sports, Kang Daniel has been cast as a male lead role in Our Police Class, which is a drama about the youth of Korea and how they grow alongside their dreams, love, and difficulties at a police university. The struggles to stand out within a 2,000 student campus, one of the most conservative and exclusive campuses in the nation, will be told through the drama.

Kang Daniel would play the role of Wi Seung Hyun, the son of the police chief at the Dongbu Police Agency, and a senior at the police university. While he is handsome and intelligent, his most defining traits are his manliness and loyalty. His goal is to follow in his father’s footsteps, so he ended up ranking first after taking the entrance exam his second time. He thought the university would be his next step towards his path to following his father’s footsteps, but once he meets Go Eun Kang, life takes an unexpected turn.

This would be Kang Daniel’s first official acting activities, as several dramas have proposed roles to him, but he turned them all down in favor of his singing activities. In addition, Disney+ is not a Korean platform but they are planning to produce Korean content. Our Police Class will be produced by Studio New, who worked on Descendants of the SunMs. Hammurabi, and Beauty Inside.
