Jung Hyung Don getting ready to return to “Weekly Idol” after hiatus

Entertainer Jung Hyung Don will be making a comeback to television after taking a sudden hiatus in November 2015 due to health concerns.

According to industry officials, Jung Hyung Don is currently discussing his return with various officials as well as the staff of MBC Every1‘s Weekly Idol, which was one of his main programs. It is confirmed that he will be making a return as MC to Weekly Idol in mid-September, and he is currently working out the details.

His agency FNC Entertainment stated, “It’s been confirmed that he will be returning mid-September. We are meticulously working out the details at the moment.”

While it was confirmed he would be returning to Weekly Idol, it is still unclear whether he will return to his family-like show, Infinite Challenge. A staff member refuted, “Jung Hyung Don clearly expressed his intentions to quit ‘Infinite Challenge.'”

Last November, the entertainer fell ill due to anxiety and quit the programs he was frequently appearing on including MBC’s Infinite Challenge. Since then, he has been avoiding public exposure to rest but recently surprised fans through a cameo appearance on Infinite Challenge’s “2016 Infinite Company” episode on the 10th.
