He announced BTS’s three wins, but he had something to add.

BTS snagged several awards at the annual Billboard Music Awards (also known as BBMAs).

And, an ARMY had the honor of announcing the group’s wins at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards! TETRIS is a DJ and host, primarily for Billboard.

BTS first received a nomination at the 2017 BBMAs in the Top Social Artist category, which they won, making K-Pop history. Since then, they have been the winning act in that category for the past six years and were also nominated this year with more nominations.

Unfortunately, despite the nominations, BTS did not attend this year, but they were still the main event. It was previously announced they would not be attending the 2022 BBMAs due to their busy schedules as they are preparing for their June comeback. Likewise, they did not appear in person at the 2021 BBMAs due to COVID-19 safety guidelines. Still, they performed their hit song, “Butter,” in Seoul and won three awards.

Similarly, BTS won several of their nominations at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, including Top Duo/GroupTop Song Sales Artist, and Top Selling Song for “Butter.” TETRIS made the announcement via live broadcast ahead of the official show and referred to it as an honor.

And, ARMYs noticed a couple of moments from that night in which TETRIS revealed his true ARMY self…

Following the announcement of “Butter” winning Top Selling Song, he shaded The Recording Academy for snubbing BTS at The 2022 GRAMMYs (also known as The 64th GRAMMY Awards). ARMY and even members RM and Suga have as well thrown shade since.

And, of course, we can’t ignore TETRIS doing choreography! Iconic.

Time and time again, TETRIS has proved himself to be ARMY, especially Jimin biased.

TETRIS is a longtime ARMY and has interviewed the group on multiple occasions.

He even attended PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE in Los Angeles…

…and in Las Vegas.

He’s one of the most successful ARMYs there is, honestly!

So, we definitely can’t say we’re surprised he spoke up for BTS. Before The 2022 GRAMMYs, he expressed hope and desire for BTS to win.

We don’t blame TETRIS then and now!
