Since making their debut in 2018, (G)I-DLE have consistently proven their power both in Korea and internationally. The same year they made their debut, they ranked at the top of Billboard‘s list of best new K-Pop groups. Then last year, they garnered even more attention when they participated in Queendom.

Additionally, they were voted as one of the most anticipated groups of 2020 in a survey by industry insiders in January. So, it comes as little surprise that the group is taking things further by partnering with Republic Records.

Republic Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group (UMG), is one of the biggest labels in the U.S. The label is home to artists like Drake, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and more. Republic Records is also home to fellow K-Pop artists TWICE and TXT!

(G)I-DLE and Republic Records have teamed up to release their third mini-album I Trust, which is now considered their official U.S. debut!

Cube Entertainment‘s CEO Ahn Woo Hyung shared an enthusiastic statement in regards to the new alliance expressing, “We are very happy to partner with Republic Records and hope that the two companies will work closely together to write a new history in K-Pop through (G)I-DLE.”

Likewise, Avery Lipman, the president, COO, and co-founder of Republic Records, shared the excitement stating, “We are excited to be teaming up with the multi-talented girl group, (G)I-DLE, as they make their highly anticipated debut into the U.S. marketplace. The new mini-album, I Trust, launches the group stateside as we endeavor to accelerate their trajectory towards global stardom.”
