Dodgers pitcher Ryu Hyun Jin to have shoulder surgery

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Ryu Hyun Jin has had a slow start to his 2015 season after a great performance last year.

Ryu Hyun Jin has not pitched in an official game this season due to what was revealed earlier in the season to be shoulder problems. Following this announcement, it was revealed that he had been placed on the 60-day disabled list, lowering the possibility that he would return to the pitching mound anytime soon.

It was revealed on Wednesday, May 20th that the right-handed Korean pitcher will have surgery on his shoulder. It has not been specified how long his recovery period will be or if he will pitch in any games for the Dodgers this season.

Meanwhile, veteran Korean singer Yangpa will be performing both the United States and Korean national anthems before the Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers game next month in Texas to celebrate Korean-American Heritage Night. When the Texas Rangers come to Los Angeles to play the Dodgers, YB will perform before the game and CL will throw the first pitch in honor of Korea Night. Both of these events involve the Dodgers and the Rangers because Korean outfielder Choo Shin Soo plays for the Texas Rangers and pitcher Ryu Hyun Jin plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
