The comedian recently uploaded a post onto his cat’s Instagram account, offering an explanation of the current situation that has been circulating online. There have been numerous reports alleging that Park Soo Hong’s older brother and sister-in-law took off with his life earnings, shocking the nation.

The comedian’s Instagram post not only confirmed the rumors, but he shed more details on the situation.

Hello, it’s Park Soo Hong.

Firstly, I would like to apologize for causing concern over my recent family troubles that have been circulating online. This problem is not only a former agency issue, but also a family issue and due to this, I wanted to solve the problem quietly. However, a similar situation has occurred and I felt it was only fair to update all those who have encouraged me and have been concerned for me.

The rumors about the financial issues with my former agency are true. The rumors that the former agency was listed under my brother and my sister-in-law are also true. After spending 30 years, I found out that my hard work and my income that I received were taken from me. Due to the enormous shock I received, I reached out to them to have a conversation about it. I wanted to catch them, but even until now, I have yet to receive a response from them.

Currently, I have gathered all paper evidence as proof for everything that has happened. I have reached out once again to have a conversation. This will be my last request and if they don’t respond, I don’t think I will be able to view them as family again.

There is one thing that I want to tell you all. My parents had no prior knowledge of this unfortunate circumstance. My biggest fear is putting this pain upon my parents and creating concerns. I ask that there will be no negative backlash regarding my parents.

Finally, I want to say that I will be doing whatever it takes to ensure that the production staff and other cast mates that I work with will not have to suffer on my behalf. I hope that I won’t disappoint those who have been worried for me.

The unfortunate situation began during Park Soo Hong’s time under his former agency. Park Soo Hong was formerly under a one man agency that was run by his older brother and his sister-in-law. During this time, he relinquished all financial control to them, allowing them to take care of his income. It has been further revealed that the comedian had previously hired his brother as his manager 30 years ago, when his brother did not have a job.

Decades later when the comedian realized that something was fishy, he decided to check his accounts. It was then that Park Soo Hong saw that all of his savings was under his brother, sister-in-law and their children’s names and not his own.

The comedian is said to have received severe backlash from his family when he informed them of his marriage plans.
