TXT aren’t known as “the 4th Gen It Boys” for no reason. They’re complete game-changers. Each one of their released albums has been cultural resets.
In The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE, one song, in particular, had a great impact on even an entire app. Ever since “Anti-Romantic” became available as a sound to use on TikTok videos, millions of users, including MOAs and even non-K-Pop fans, have been getting creative with the sound. As of August 19, the number of times “Anti-Romantic” was used for content by TikTok users is nearly over 324,600.
“Anti-Romantic” might not have official choreography. Yet, we know every sound, especially within TikTok trends, seems to always have a dance to go along with it!
Content creator Zuki (@yutasbestie on TikTok) created a fun dance inspired by “Anti-Romantic,” but easy enough for anyone on TikTok to follow along. Shortly after posting her first video featuring the dance, other MOAs joined in, posting their own videos of themselves dancing to “Anti-Romantic,” thus officially creating a new TikTok dance trend.
Dc: me 🤪
It got even more popular when irenedoll joined in on it too. She released a few different videos of herself doing the “Anti-Romantic” trend. The second one specifically went even more viral than the original (it currently has over 7 million likes and 44.5 million views). This video also inspired a whole new trend as other TikTokers overlayed the video of her dancing overtop their own original content.
The “Anti-Romantic” dance trend has truly had such a big impression on the app that it’s reached not only beyond the K-Pop fan community but even to the K-Pop industry itself as idols are now participating. Cherry Bullet‘s Chaerin is the latest to join in on it! She had trained under HYBE (Big Hit Entertainment), so she is showing some love to her former fellow trainees!
K-Pop fans were pleasantly surprised to see an idol participating in the trend. Although, Cherry Bullet’s followers been knew that the girls are always up to date on the latest TikTok trends!
Now, we’re just waiting for our TikTok kings, TXT themselves, to join in on the “Anti-Romantic” dance trend too!
