ARMYs Show Their Love For BTS’s Suga On His Birthday By Getting 2 Of His Songs Back On A Billboard Chart

It’s such a beautiful gesture from fans!

March 9 is a very special day for BTS and their fans! It’s the day, back in 1993, when beloved rapper Suga was born, and so March 9 always sees a flood of well wishes and words of love and admiration for the BTS member on social media.

Oftentimes around a popular idol’s birthday, fans show their affection for their favorites in other ways as well.

In the case of someone like Suga, who also has his own solo discography under the name Agust D, one of these ways is to bring previously music-charting songs back onto charts that they haven’t been on for a long time!

This week’s Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart saw the return of not just one, but two of Agust D’s solos!

Not only that, but his massive 2020 hit, “Daechwita”, came back to the chart ranked all the way at #1 out of the 25-song list!

His other song that also made it back onto the Billboard chart is “People”, a B-side track off of his second mixtape D-2 and listed at #8 for this week.

The World Digital Song Sales chart is updated weekly to show which international singles are making the most sales at the time in the United States, so it takes a lot of effort on fans’ part to get old songs back onto it like this!

Suga, outside of BTS, has had a total of 14 songs rank on this Billboard chart in the past, with all ten tracks off of the D-2 album making it on the list (all in the top 10 placements!) at the same time on the week of June 6, 2020.

“Daechwita” was the highest-ranking at #1, with the next highest-charting song off the mixtape being “Strange” (ft. RM) at #2.

We hope that Suga had an incredible birthday, and that he saw and appreciates all that ARMYs are doing to show their love for him on his special day!
