“Stay” by BTS’s fellow company artists The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber spends its third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, two weeks after significantly ascending to the spot. According to MRC Data, for the week ending on August 19, its radio airplay was up 29%, drawing 51.3 million audience impressions. As for BTS’s “Butter,” it has gone from No. 7 to No. 8 on the chart. It previously was No. 2, and before that, it was No. 1 for 9 weeks, becoming this year’s longest leading hit song.

“Butter” has been in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 13 weeks now. This officially ties it with “Dynamite” for the longest-charting song in the top 10 by a Korean act.

“Butter” has also become the first song of 2021 to spend 12 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales Chart. Currently, it has sold over 1.5 million pure copies. Additionally, BTS’s Japanese language album BTS, The Best remains at No. 5 for top-selling albums this week.

Also on this week’s Hot 100 chart is Ed Sheeran at No. 2, who has recently collaborated with BTS on their newest song, “Permission to Dance.” Certified ARMY Lizzo achieved her third Hot 100 top 10, following “Truth Hurts” and “Good as Hell” with “Rumors,” featuring Cardi B, in its debut.
