Jungkook Recognizes A Friend At BTS’s Global Press Conference In L.A.

He’d recognize him anywhere.

On November 28th, BTS held a global conference ahead of their BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE concert in Los Angeles, California. According to Jin, this was the group’s first overseas press conference in years.

It’s our first time holding a press conference abroad since Wembley, so I’m nervous and excited. We hope that with this concert, we will be able to hold more concerts with ARMY. After this concert, I have a desire to hold a concert in Korea so please look forward to our concerts.

Here the members fielded questions about their music, the COVID-19 pandemic, the GRAMMY Awards, and more.

Dozens of reporters attended the conference, but Jungkook still managed to spot a familiar face in the crowd: journalist Liam McEwan. McEwan has interviewed BTS several times over the course of their 8-year career, forming a bond with the members.

When I first met them, they were famous, but they weren’t like megastars. Now, they’re just the biggest thing on the planet. You know, I interviewed them recently, and they haven’t changed as guys. They’re still the same humble dudes no matter how much fame, success, money, power, influence they have, they have stayed BTS, and I respect that because I get to interview some pretty cool people, and not everyone is as humble as them, so I think you guys … are stanning the right people.

When Jungkook spotted McEwan in the audience, Jungkook shot him a friendly wave…

…and laughed adorably to himself afterward.

It’s a small world after all!
