BTS’s Jungkook Breaks Spotify Record With “Left And Right”

Congratulations to BTS’s Jungkook and Charlie Puth on their achievements!

BTS fans have had an exciting month, and the excitement doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

The BTS members have been especially busy this month. They released their anticipated anthology album, PROOF, and promoted their new tracks “Yet to Come” and “For Youth” on music shows.

They announced solo activities for the members starting with J-Hope as a headliner for Lollapalooza at the end of July, which will take place after the release of his solo album Jack in the Box. It was also announced that V will be filming a special version of In the SOOP along with his celebrity friends that make up the Wooga Squad. This was all after BTS ended May with a visit to the White House by invitation of the president of the United States.

This month, American artist, Charlie Puth, confirmed he would be releasing a new track with BTS’s maknae, Jungkook. The song, “Left and Right,” was released Friday, June 24, and is already breaking records.

Charlie Puth shared on his Twitter that “Left and Right” debuted at #1 on the Worldwide iTunes chart. Within 20 minutes of its release, the song already had 500,000 streams on Spotify, and within 12 hours, the music video had 10 million views.

Today it was confirmed that the song broke a record on Spotify for Jungkook. “Left and Right” officially recorded 8,721,387 streams on the first day on Spotify, making it the biggest debut day for a Korean soloist.
