At the end of January, BIGHIT MUSIC made the announcement on Weverse that Jimin had tested positive for COVID-19. Additionally, he received a successful surgery for acute appendicitis.

Hello.

This is BIGHIT MUSIC.

We would like to provide you with the following information regarding the current health status of BTS member Jimin.

Jimin experienced sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat on January 30 in the afternoon. He visited a hospital emergency room for a thorough examination and also took a PCR test. Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and tested positive for COVID-19. He underwent surgery following physician advice early morning on Monday, January 31.

According to the medical staff, the surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recuperating after his procedure. He will be receiving a few days of in-patient treatment for COVID-19 in conjunction with postoperative care. He is currently experiencing a mild sore throat but is making a speedy recovery, and had no contact with the other members during the infectious stage.

The company places the artists’ health as our top priority, and we will do everything we can to aid Jimin in his speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities.

Thank you.

Upon hearing the news, ARMYs were concerned. So, they took to social media, such as Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram, to share a tremendous amount of love and support for him, wishing him a speedy recovery. On Twitter alone, “JIMIN JIMIN” and “#GetWellSoonJimin” surpassed a million tweets each that day.

Since then, Jimin has also reassured ARMYs. He updated Weverse a couple of days later to let ARMYs know of his recovery process.

Everyone, were you all really worried? I am recovering well!☺️

Now, Jimin has officially come home! He has updated Weverse with a cute selfie, his first since recovery. He simply captioned it “V,” placing it on his cheek.

Of course, ARMYs can’t help but think this is a reference to his fellow BTS member, V. They are soulmates, after all!

It seems likely, especially since V regularly checked on him while Jimin was still recovering. On Weverse, he would even update ARMYs regarding Jimin’s condition.

That chick said he is watching the sky for 7 hours, the sky was pretty today.
