BLACKPINK Tease 5 Unseen Moments To Expect In Their New Netflix Documentary, “Light Up The Sky”

The documentary is almost here!

There’s less than one day until BLACKPINK‘s new documentary, BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky, drops on Netflix. Of course, if you’re like most BLINKs, you just can’t wait to see it! Luckily, in today’s press conference, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa teased some never-before-seen clips you can expect to enjoy when the documentary finally releases.

1. Trainee days

One thing you can expect to see in BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky is footage from the members’ trainee days. Like most companies, YG Entertainment keeps its training process closely guarded, so BLINKs haven’t seen or heard much from that time period. According to Jisoo, the documentary will contain plenty of unseen clips of the members rehearsing and practicing before making it to stardom.

Not a lot of footage from our trainee days has been released, so that’s something you can look forward to.

2. Audition clips

Jisoo also revealed that the documentary will go even further back, showing clips from BLACKPINK’s auditions for the first time ever. From Rosé and Lisa’s international auditions to Jennie and Jisoo’s tryouts in Seoul, BLINKs will get to see the moment YG Entertainment casting agents knew they’d found their future stars.

It was the first time we saw each other’s audition clips too, and it was a surprise. And, it was also really fun to watch so hopefully BLINKs will be able to enjoy that as well.

3. Childhood days

Still not far enough into the past for your liking? Luckily for BLINKs, Light Up the Sky will go beyond trainee days and auditions, all the way back to the members’ childhoods. Lisa shared that both pictures and videos from when they were children will be included in the documentary.

4. Personal time

Of course, it’s not all about the past. The new Netflix documentary will also include plenty of clips from recent months. One thing Rosé hopes fans will enjoy is the footage of the BLACKPINK members enjoying their “off” time together. Jisoo admitted that they’re pretty different when they’re not on stage, so BLINKs might be surprised at what they see.

I would like for the fans to look forward to seeing some of the times that we’ve spent together on our own and on our personal time.

5. A recipe?

Last but not least, the moment Jennie is excited for fans to see is one of the most unexpected: a secret recipe. Jennie and Jisoo have been making tang hulu (a Chinese sugar-coated fruit snack) for a while now, and fans have always been intrigued. Stick around for Light Up the Sky, and you’ll see the secrets of how they cook it up.

We’ll be giving you the secrets to me and Jisoo’s famous tanghulu, so I hope you look forward to hearing our tips.
