Here’s The Real Reason Why BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Chose To Dress Up As Lisa For Halloween

It was definitely an iconic response for an iconic outfit!

Although it has been a few days since Halloween, the K-Pop world still proved that they are iconic AF when it comes to costumes. From several idols dressing up as the Squid Game creepy doll Younghee to THE BOYZ’s Q getting a reply from his Halloween inspiration Chucky, 2021 was just as iconic as any other year.

One person in particular that gained a lot of love for her outfit was BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo.

Although other people chose to dress as fictional characters, such as films, K-Dramas, and other choices, Jisoo picked something much closer to home as she dressed as fellow member Lisa from the “LALISA” concept photos.

The two could definitely have passed as twins from the long hair, signature beanie hat, and oversized grey hoodie if they both wore the same thing. For many, it was almost the perfect replica of how Lisa looked in the concept photos for “LALISA.”

However, it now seems as if there was a special reason behind Jisoo’s choice. On November 3 (KST), Jisoo took to Weverse to reply to some fans’ comments about various things. As expected, many wanted to know all about the inspiration behind the costume. One fan asked Jisoo was if she wore the same outfit, and Jisoo replied, “Even my nails are the same haha.

Yet, one fan particularly seemed interested to know and asked Jisoo, “Why did u choose to be LALISA this Halloween?

However, if fans wanted a clear reason why then it wasn’t what Jisoo gave them. As a reply to the post, Jisoo explained, “I promised Lisa to have dinner with herㅋㅋㅋㅋ” along with an emoji wearing sunglasses.

Although some fans focused on the fact that a Jisoo and Lisa dinner date was absolutely adorable, others were very confused by her answer.

No matter the reason, there is no denying that, along with the other members of BLACKPINK, Jisoo definitely understood the assignment when it came to Halloween. With Lisa as Younghee, Jennie as both Medusa and Gogo Yubari from the movie Kill Bill, and Rosé as a star student, it will be tough to top it next year.
