BIGBANG nominated for Nickelodeon 2017 Kids’ Choice Award

BIGBANG continues to cement their place in the international music community with a nomination at the 2017 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

The KCAs began in the 1980s and has grown into one of the entertainment industry’s biggest events, mainly due to two main features. First is the ability for fans to vote on who wins the award. Second is the show’s liberal use of green slime, which frequently finds itself poured over the heads of celebrities.

The awards show recently rolled out their nominees and BIGBANG is in the running for the award of “Favorite Global Music Star”.  The group will be competing against major international superstars Shakira, Bruno Mars, Little Mix, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Zara Larson.

Each nominee has a huge global following and while there may be no clear winner from the list, with their continually growing global fanbase, the Korean music giants are sure contenders for the award.

BIGBANG is the only artist representing Asia at the show this year. With the success of their songs, which include “Fantastic Baby”, “Loser”, and “Bang Bang Bang,” which have over 100 million views on YouTube each, there’s no questioning their global appeal.

Voting is open until the beginning of March, while the show will take place on March 11. Votes are cast through the Kids’ Choice Awards website so make sure you show your support for your favorite global music star!
