(★BREAKING) B1A4’s Jinyoung and Baro Leave WM Entertainment

2 B1A4 members are leaving WM Entertainment.

Following the announcement of B1A4’s contracts expiring at the end of June, it has been reported that members Jinyoung and Baro will be leaving the agency, choosing not to re-sign with WM Entertainment.

B1A4’s Contract Will Expire Next Week, But They Still Haven’t Renewed

Members Sandeul, Gongchan, and CNU have re-signed their contracts with WM Entertainment and will remain.

After a series of long discussions between the members and WM Entertainment, Jinyoung and Baro decided not to sign new contracts with the agency.

B1A4’s contracts were originally scheduled to expire in April 2018, but the group agreed to extend their contracts for 2 months until June 30 to discuss a potential renewal.

A broadcasting official told Yonhap News more about Jinyoung and Baro’s decision to leave WM Entertainment.

“All of the members recently held discussions with the agency for a final time before the end of their contract. Jinyoung and Baro decided that they would not be renewing. WM respects their decision and their opinions for their future. The members that are leaving have already received love calls from various agencies, and acting management companies continue to contact them.” — Official

BANA’s will undoubtedly be sad with these news, but it’s not completely over, as B1A4 is still expected to remain as a group.

Whether they will promote as 3 members, or follow Girls’ Generation’s path, where the members can all still promote as a team even though they are in different agencies, is still unclear.
