iKON prove themselves as monster rookies again with Japanese Arena Tour

iKON‘s popularity overseas is no joke as the group is once again being hailed as monster rookies in Japan.

The group kick started their first ever Japan Arena Tour on February 11th with a same day 2-show at the Fukuoka Convention Center where they performed in front of more than 8,000 fans. Following on the 13th, they released their Japanese debut album WELCOME BACK where it ranked #1 on the Oricon Daily Chart.

Their latest completed stop occurred in Tokyo at the Nippon Budokan with one show on the 15th, which attracted 13,000 fans, and two shows on the 16th. The venue itself is stated to hold an audience of approximately 14,400. iKON performed many of their hits including “Rhythm Ta,” “My Type,” “Airplane,” “Apology,” and more from their album.

In particular, their Budokan concert made iKON the first foreign artists to perform at the venue in such a short amount of time since their Japan debut.

iKON will continue their Arena Tour up until March 15th, visiting Kobe (World Memorial Hall), Chiba (Makuhari Messe), and ending in Osaka (Osaka Hall). They are also set to perform their concert in Korea in Daegu and Busan on February 27th and March 5th respectively.
