Red Velvet‘s Yeri, ITZY‘s Chaeryeong, and actress Lee Da Hee all have their own unique styles, but sometimes, their outfits still overlap. That said, even when all three stars recently wore the same dress, they still served completely different looks.
The dress in question is a checkered midi dress from Burberry. Worth a staggering $2,490 USD, this sold-out honey brown piece features a cut-out design, flared sleeves, and a gorgeous silhouette with ruched detailing.
Since its release, this dress has been a hit around the world. American rapper Cardi B, who collaborated with BLACKPINK last year, wore it on her Facebook Watch show, while singer Chloe Bailey of Chloe x Halle donned it in an Instagram post.
Now, it’s becoming a popular choice for idols too. Yeri was the first of the three stars to don the dress, wearing it for an interview between Red Velvet and American producer Diplo for Interview Magazine in November 2020.
Pairing the dress with black shoes and gold pendant earrings, Yeri’s look gave off a mature vibe rarely seen on the 22-year-old starlet. The overall gold tones of the outfit matched her complexion perfectly, with her makeup amping up her alluring aura.
Chaeryeong wore the dress for ITZY’s CLALEN commercial in January 2021. Unlike Yeri, who wore the dress as sold, 19-year-old Chaeryeong wore the dress tailored shorter to stop around thigh-level.
In her version of this outfit, Chaeryeong gave off a youthful, party-girl vibe. Her tousled hair added to her carefree impression, showing that this dress can look just as playful as it can look serious.
Last but not least, Lee Da Hee (known for her roles in The Beauty Inside and Search: WWW) also wore the dress in January 2021, donning it for a Luda: The Beginning press conference. Like Yeri, Lee Da Hee wore the dress at its original length with a tied-back hairstyle.
While Lee Da Hee definitely gave off a mature vibe in her version of the outfit, her aura was still far different to Yeri’s. Rather than sultry, the 36-year-old actress looked more elegant and distinguished in the dress.
